Amy Poehler is an American comedian, actor, voice artist and producer with a a net worth in excess of $25 million. She is probably best known for her role in the NBC comedy "Parks and Recreation". She has been in a variety of films. Her first recognition came from "Saturday Night Live". Amy Meredith Poehler was a Newton, Massachusetts native. She was born September 16, 1971. Her parents, Eileen and William Poehler were both teachers at school. Greg is her younger brother. He is an actor and producer. Amy was born in Burlington, Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston. Amy was bitten by the acting bug when she performed as Dorothy in"The Wizard of Oz" at her middle school when she was 10. In high school, she participated with drama, and she was a member the Student Council. She also was a part of the softball and soccer teams. Amy completed her high school degree in 1989 and enrolled at nearby Boston College. Amy was a part of an improv comedy troupe in college. Her graduation was in 1993 at Boston College.
